Shure Completes Apple iPhone Experience with Music Phone Adapter

New Inline Accessory for Shure Earphones Brings Rock Star Audio Quality to Mobile Communications

NILES, IL, June 26, 2007 - Shure Incorporated today unveiled its revolutionary Music Phone Adapter (MPA), the latest innovation in the company's acclaimed family of professional-grade audio accessories and a breakthrough for multi-function devices. Shure brought its 80-year professional audio legacy to the consumer market three years ago and has since defined the category for premium earphones and accessories. Their newest offering, the Music Phone Adapter, is a sleek modular accessory that converts the new Shure Sound Isolating? Earphones into a stereo headset and allows Apple iPhone users to switch seamlessly between listening and communicating.

According to IDC, converged mobile device shipments topped 80 million in 2006, a 42% increase over 2005, and continued growth is expected this year. In tandem, consumers' appetites for premium audio attachments that improve their listening experiences are growing rapidly. With 10 million iPhones expected to be sold in 2008, the opportunity for accessories manufacturers is enormous.
