To dupe or not to dupe

Are you spending more time with your duplicator than your spouse?

Made 4 You or Do It Yourself

Scenario: Saturday night, 11:00 pm. You're still at church desperately trying to get those last few discs duplicated before Sunday morning. You know that you promised 17 people copies of a recent 6 disc sermon series, and you don't want to disappoint them. Suddenly you realize... the printer is out of ink for the CD labels! You start to wonder, "Is this another all-nighter?" You had better call your spouse to find out if they can bring a change of clothes to church with them in the morning...

CCI Solutions to the rescue! We can provide a number of solutions to keep this scenario from ever taking place. From preprinting your CDs and DVDs, to providing short run packaging of sermon series, we can keep you at home on Saturday night. We call this service "Made 4 You". Of course, you may still want the flexibility to create discs on site, and provide CDs and DVDs immediately after service. We call this "DiY" (Do it Yourself). Here are some questions to ask yourself before deciding to have us do it for you, or to do it yourself:

1.) Does my church have the duplication/printing capacity to do this project in house?
We recommend that whenever you need more than 50 copies of any given title, you should send it to us. We have the high-volume duplication and printing equipment to get things turned around in less than 48 hours, which usually means if you send it to us on Monday, you'll have it back by Friday. However, if your church size and budget allow for you to have more automated equipment, you can walk away from your duplicator and printer, which frees you up to do other things. Automated equipment can be expensive, but if you are going through more than 100 discs in a week, it may be wise to invest in a duplicator/printer combo unit that allows you to set it and walk away. Some units offer job queuing ability, which allows you to set specific amounts for multiple titles, insert different master content and graphics for the label, and walk away. This is great if you need 17 of 6 different titles (as suggested above). If you have equipment in house that is not automated, it is usually best to utilize it for your on-demand needs such as post-service disc distribution when you have volunteers available to make sure things run smoothly.

2.) Am I selling these, or giving them away?
Your ministry may sell sermon/music content, or may give it away. If you plan on selling the material, you will want to spend the time and energy on creating aesthetically pleasing packaging materials, as well as disc/case artwork that portrays an intrinsic value to your content. If you are giving your content away, you probably want to go with the most economical method of distribution. We recommend that you have us preprint your discs with 1-color printing (prices as low as $.49 each) and label your discs with a small clear message label (which we provide free with the purchase of preprinted discs). You can also buy an economical color disc printer for less than $200 and print directly on your discs as opposed to printing paper labels. Paper labels are notorious for causing problems in car CD players. We always recommend that you print directly on the disc surface if at all possible.

3.) What could I spend my time doing instead of duplicating, printing and packaging discs?
The possibilities are endless! Use the extra time to rest, pray, study, spend time with your family... whatever! Rest in the fact that we will take care of your project - we have vested interest in your content. After all, we're all here to advance the Kingdom of God, and we consider ourselves at CCI Solutions an extension of your ministry.

Do you have a recording project in the works?

We'll only charge you a few bucks per disc, which you can make up in no time flat. As a matter of fact, you may be able to generate revenue for your worship team! When I did my church's worship project, we did 100 for $269.00 and asked for $5 donations from our church of 300 people. Some people gave $10, some couldn't give anything at all. We still wanted to bless them with a disc that they could listen to in their car or at home filled with relevant, familiar songs that they could worship to. After all, that is what it is all about, isn't it? It is our job to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry, and giving them an outlet to worship is a part of that.
