This Sennheiser E6 version is custom matched for Sennheiser EWG1 and G2 Series. It is designed to be used by those with a normal speaking or singing voice and can take a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 135dB. Other versions are available for individuals with louder speaking and singing voices. With an omnidirectional pickup pattern and a very thin flexible boom, the E6i is easy to position for the best sound and comfort. Even though it is an omni mic, it offers great gain before feedback in a way that is more typical of unidirectional mics.

The E6 comes with three different protective caps; each one creates a slightly different frequency response. One cap leaves the response flat, another adds brightness by bumping the response curve up about +4dB in the 12 to 15k range. A third cap gives a very bright response by bumping up the curve +8dB in the same range.
Whether you intend to use the Sennheiser E6 for speech or song, it will provide excellent studio-quality sound with the absolute least visibility.
