As special install, or “i” version, JRX model, this versatile two-way system has a multi-angled cabinet design that allows it to be used as a floor monitor, plus it has special internal metal bracing with threaded fly points and included eyebolts that allow it to be suspended as a main or fill speaker in applications where ground stacking or pole mounting is impractical or undesireable. Its 12” woofer and 1” compression driver are made by JBL here in the USA. It utilizes JBL's innovative Progressive Transition™ Waveguide (HF Horn) to create the optimum in well-controlled coverage (90° x 50°), low-distortion and excellent frequency response. These top-notch components are combined with an extra beefy crossover that won't saturate when you drive the speaker hard. The cabinet is made from high-quality ¾” MDF material covered in a gray carpet finish. An 18-gauge steel grille covers the entire front face protecting both LF and HF components. Handles and pole socket are removed on this special install version. SonicGuard™ circuitry protects the speakers by absorbing excess energy like feedback or sudden pops -- without interrupting the performance. Power handling capacity is 250W continuous at 8 ohms and 1000W peak at 8 ohms. Recommended amp power is 250W - 500W into 8 ohms. |
