Absen LED Video Wall Power Cable Configuration

Duke DeJong:[00:00:15]

Hey everyone. Duke from CCI solutions continuing our series on LED video wall. And in this video we're going to talk about power. The beautiful thing of buying an LED video wall from CCI solutions is we are going to take care of you. We are gonna include all the information you need to work with your electrician to get the right amount of power to your LED video wall. And we're also going to make sure all of those power cables, the different jumpers that are involved, are all included with your wall. And so one of the first things we're going to include and send out to you when you buy an LED video wall from us, is we're gonna send you some documentation that talks about how much power your LED video wall needs. Now one of the cool features about the Absen Acclaim series that's behind me is they've made it very doable to parallel power from tile to tile, so you can string power from one outlet up to 10 tiles per plug, which makes your wiring a lot cleaner than it would be, obviously if you had to plug every tile in directly. So up to 10 tiles per outlet and up to 20 tiles per circuit. Per 20 amp circuit. So how many 20 amp circuits do you need. Or 30 amp if that works out better in your environment? That's gonna be in that documentation that we're going to send you. Obviously, every size of LED video wall is going to require a different amount of power. And so we want to make sure that you have the right amount of power worked on from from your electrician. And so that documentation will be sent to you on your purchase. Next up let's get behind this wall. Let's take a look and see how we've wired this thing up and show you just how all those jumpers and stuff go. All right. So we're back here behind the wall and every LED video wall we sell is going to have three different lengths of IEC power cables, as well as the cables that go into power - into wherever your electrician hooks up your power.

Duke DeJong:[00:02:12]

But for these jumpers we're gonna give you three different sizes: We're going to give you these short guys and that's for the tiles when you're going from bottom to top you see power in at the bottom, power out, power in. So these short guys here are gonna be these short cables when you go on down, so power out to power in, you're going to use these medium cables. And then when it comes time to go power out to power in, you're gonna use this nice long guy. So a couple of ways you can do this here.

Duke DeJong:[00:02:44]

Absen in the acclaim series has actually created these channels in here that you can use in order to wire up your your power. We have found these short cables are just a little long. In order to make that nice. So we like to go just outside here it still is nice and clean. But you can see here it just goes on the outside as opposed to inside the channel here. It still looks nice and clean tight against the wall. All right. For this medium sized cable, as I mentioned that's from power out to power in when you're coming down the wall. So on this side here I'm going to feed this up through the channel.

Duke DeJong:[00:03:20]

Go to the power out and then it's going to come down to the bottom here on this power in. OK, so that's your power up and your power down.

Duke DeJong:[00:03:30]

This longer jumper cable here is what's going to be your power from side to side. So I'm going to take my power out. I'm going to feed it through the handles here.

Duke DeJong:[00:03:41]

And plug it in here. I'm going to loop it back over here. I'm going to feed the excess wire into the handle there, and I'm just going to plug it right into there.

Duke DeJong:[00:03:51]

So super, super simple. All three jumpers are going to be included you're gonna have what you need. Follow the wiring diagram that comes with your LED video wall. And then, power into the wall - we like to start at the bottom and work our way up and so that way you take that in, out, in, out, in and then if you have a smaller wall then you're gonna go across and down. So again, consult the documentation we send every LED video while we're going to include a full package of information and in that's gonna be your wiring diagram as far as your power. How many tiles you go when you cross, all of that is all gonna be included. So there you have it. Powering your LED video wall is actually super simple we're gonna give you all the documentation you need. We're gonna include all these wires that you just saw a string through here. It's super, super simple. For more information on LED video walls - how to install them, or even package pricing. Please visit us on our website -
