Hey everyone. Duke from CCI Solutions here with my buddy Thomas Fonseca from Chauvet Professional and ChamSys. And we're you're talking about the new ChamSys QuickQ Q lighting consoles, and really, really powerhouse consoles we've shot a whole series of videos on our website on this one though we want to get into like probably the most simple but also the most critical part of creating your lighting shows, services. And that is how in the world do I actually back up my my show files? Or one of the coolest things I think about this is there's a free offline editor software along with a free visualizer software.
So you can actually program your services at home. Maybe you're your volunteer or doing, doing lighting for your church. You can actually set up your show files as well as a visualizer or at home, program everything. Bring it in on Sunday morning and load it in,.
With the stick.
And you're ready to rock.
Super, super cool so we want to make sure that one you're not a backup your show.
Very important. You don't want to lose that.
Yeah I mean, power outages whatever happen and you should always have your show backup. But man that offline editing...
So powerful, so powerful. So let's dig in. Let's let's get into creating and saving show.
Let's do it. Really simple, I have a USB stick I'm going to plug it onto the back of the thick of the console. And, and I'm just going to go into my menu into files and you'll see right here you can "Start a New Show", you can "Load a Show", "Save As" or "Save Show". I'm going to go ahead and "Save As". And right here you'll see I can "Save it Onto a Console" or onto a "USB Stick". Right. And I'm going to go ahead and save it into my USB stick. I'm going to rename it. So I'm going to go ahead and name it ...
CCI Demo and I'm gonna hit enter and it's going to save it right onto that USB stick.
So now we save it on the stick but have we saved it on the console ye?.
No. So we can do the same thing. I can save - I can save a show and right now I have it into the console so you can see "CCI Show" is right here. I'm gonna go ahead and put it into the console, and if I want to save it or rename it for any reason I don't have to. I just hit enter and there it is.
So perfect. So I definitely save it locally but also save it on a flash drive so you've got it handy. Now let's say let's say for, for this next weekend you couldn't make it into a program for the week. So you did it all in the offline editor, saved your file to your thumb drive and need to reload it in. How simple is that?
It's really simple. Again I go into "Files". And "Load Show" and you'll see three different tabs. Right. So I have the console so everything that's saved onto this console. I have demos so every console comes with a demo show so you can play around with or the "no name" is actually my, my USB drive where you have everything that's on that USB. So under the console let's go ahead and just so I can change it to something else.
I'm going to load a demo show open and I have my demo show. I can go back into "Files" and load the show that we are working with, which would be "CCI Demo Show".
So super simple so if you're doing any online editing, it's - it can't be easier to bring that in from here. It's all compatible. It just will pull it in with everything you did off-line. It's great. It just works easy.
Yeah and you can even jump let's say one place actually has a QuickQ 10 in the youth room and then a QuickQ 30 onto, in the mean worship center, so we can actually jump from the different consoles. And if you're within the ChamSys family, that show file can go to every single console within the whole line that we have.
All right. So one of the least exciting things, but probably the most critical part...
Yes very critical.
... of using a lighting console, backing up your show - Although, I gotta admit being able to create my show off-line with a visualizer.
At home, or on the road in an airplane, wherever you are and being able to load in that profile is pretty cool.
Sometimes you just need to edit a show.
You know the timing didn't really work that night.
You want and you want to do it again but change the timing.
You can actually do that at home. Come back just with a stick...
...put it in and and load your show.
Super, super cool. Super, super powerful. That is it. It's easy. For more training videos or to go ahead pick yourself up a QuickQ 10, 20, or 30 - just visit us our website - www.ccisolutions.com
