Hey everyone Duke from CCI Solutions here with my friend Thomas Fonseca from Chauvet Professional and ChamSys.
We're here talking about the QuickQ console, lighting console. The QuickQ 10, 20, and 30 - size based on your lighting rig. One of the coolest features about this thing is not just that it's a great console but you've got this whole mobile aspect to it. And so whether it's an Apple device or an Android device, you can control it from anywhere - your Wi-Fi or the Wi-Fi that's built into this console can reach.
Exactly exactly. And it's really easy to use.
So it's easy to set up. So anyone - it doesn't have, doesn't take an IT person.
To go ahead and create a network and all this kind of stuff to connect the device to it.
And you see exactly what's on the screen.
Exactly. So you see the same thing so you have everything so you can use it as a secondary touchscreen as well as a device that you can now walk away go up to your own rig pull it up on your phone while you're up on a ladder trying to focus something turn something on.
So you can use it as a remote device...
...as well as a secondary screen on board.
Or maybe your lighting guy got sick and didn't show up for a service and so you know your maybe your piano player hits a lighting cue or something in the middle of service. So lots of cool applications for this. Really important note, works for both iOS and Android devices.
Yes. So you can find it. It's a free download of the app on both the Play Store as well as the Apple App Store.
Awesome. So let's dig in and let's actually setup you've got a Samsung device here but the console setup is exactly the same either way.
And then you download the app.
Dude, let's dive in. All right. So as we've talked about iOS devices Android devices, whether they're tablets or phones, all those things work. First thing we got to do is download the app, right. So you've got the app on the screen there. It's a lovely cue. That's pretty pretty obvious right. So you've got it loaded so let's get into this thing. Let's see what this looks like.
Yeah. So on the Play Store as well as the App Store, just go ahead and search for ChamSys and then you should see ChamSys QuickQ remote Right on there. And you can download, a free download, for either devices - style or devices. We're gonna connect, and because we were connected before it's going to auto connect. It's kind of great so you don't have to keep doing it again and again.
That's awesome. It remembers the last console that you were connected to.
Exactly. Just for this purpose we're gonna go ahead and disconnect so we can find it ourselves. So to be able to find a QR code you actually go into "Settings" - "Network" and then "Wi-Fi".
So again, this console these consoles have built in Wi-Fi and with a QR code it makes it really easy to connect.
You're going to see here and find any sort of glare - it's going to find the network and they're going to auto connect right there for you.
So now that could be easier. So there's that. What if we're connecting that to our own network, our own Wi-Fi system at that point then, what we've got to do is set the IP address on the console to be in the same range. And then the app should find it?
Yes. So on the app you saw here you had three different ways. When I disconnect you can connect to the last console that you've had. You have the QR code as well as a manual IP address as well so you can connect it that way.
So in that case we're we're setting it we're putting in the IP address of the console itself.
And assuming everything's in the same IP range. If you don't know what we're talking about. Go ahead use the Wi-Fi.
Use the Wi-Fi.
Or talk to your network guy. But once you set an IP address for your console essentially you're just typing that IP address into the app.
Exactly, and the really nice thing about it you do have a couple of settings here. You have the name of the the Wi-Fi network then you can actually find if you search for your network with your phone or anything else. It is password protected, so you can change it names you want to, you can change the password if you want to. And under advanced you have different channels. So if there's a lot of traffic within that network you can change the channels to, to free your device and you can see the IP address right there. And the same one that was connected.
All right so there you have it. Portability, about portable access and control for this console super, super simple.
Easy to use.
Whether you've got an iPad, Android - I mean I'm an Apple guy so I don't even know what they call these. But in ...
All the other Android stuff.
...And Android video device or your iPhone or your Samsung Galaxy or whatever whatever it is as long as it's iOS or Android.
I think it's super, super simple. Even if you don't have a network this thing will do a built in or you can connect it to your network and use your own Wi-Fi either way.
Super simple. Awesome. So the QuickQ 10 QuickQ 20,QuickQ 30 all available on our website as well as more training videos. Just go to ccisolutions.com
