Applications for the CAD CAD-GXL1200
  • Acoustic Guitar Microphone
    • Mount the GXL 1200 on a boom stand and position @ the 12th fret and aim back toward the sound hole. You may need to use an equalizer to remove some of the low mid frequencies to taste and watch the gain if using live.
  • Drum Overhead Microphones
    • Mount (2) GXL 1200 microphones on (2) boom stands in front of the drum set aim down toward the left and right front of the kit. Try to get as high above the kit as possible to even out the different distances of the cymbals, toms and even the snare that will end up in the overheads. Remember the overhead mics are the most critical drum mics in the mix if used correctly.
  • Small Vocal Ensemble Microphone/s
    • Mount (1) GXL 1200 for mono or (2) for stereo (or more mono coverage) on stands in front of the group.
  • Ambiance Microphones
