The Matrox Monarch HD is a Professional Video streaming and recording appliance built to last. The Matrox streaming/recording encoder is a small, easy-to-use appliance designed for any professional video producer who needs to consistently stream a live event and record in a master quality version for any essential post-event editing. Users are now able to separate recording from streaming in a single integrated unit. The Matrox Monarch HD device ensures the Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) are able to be focused on quality video while you control the quality of your archive.

If you use any HDMI input sources with a camera or switcher, the Matrox Monarch HD generates H.264-encoded streams that are compliant with both RTSP and RTMP protocols. While automatically encoding your video at bit rates suitable for any level of live streaming, the intuitive Matrox Monarch HD is able to simultaneously records high-quality MP4 and MOV files to: SD cards, USB drives, or network-mapped drives. The Matrox Monarch HD is available remotely using any computer or any mobile device with your web browser.
